Our Saperavi Selection is our attempt to capture the unique flavors and nobility of the Saperavi grape. We specifically source our grapes from a 7ha selected vineyard in Ikalto, Kakheti in Eastern Georgia. The resulting wine produced in neutral stainless steel exhibits the intensity and elegance inherent to our versatile and beloved Saperavi.

Our Amber Blend is a blend of four indigenous white Georgian grape varieties – Rkatsiteli, Kakhuri Mtsvane, Khikhvi and Kisi, harvested from our vineyards planted at the foot of the Caucasus mountains in Kakheti, the eastern most region of Georgia. If you have never had an amber wine, our wine is for you. This unique blend of white grapes is aged on the skins for 6-months giving the wine its distinctive amber color. The tradition of fermenting and aging white grapes on their skins is a thousands-year-old continuous Georgian tradition of which we are honored to be a part. In addition to a lovely color, the skin-contact imbues the wine with distinctive notes of dried peach, fuller body, soft tannin and thus creates a fifth category of wine that likely predates red, white, rosé and sparkling. Some call it “skin-contact" and some “orange”, but since forever in Georgia the category was named Amber and so our name honors this tradition.

This wine is a single focused project of Gvantsa Abuladze, with help of course from her sister Baia, and brother Giorgi. Gvantsa is a huge believer in rosé produced from the western Georgian varietal Aladasturi (ah-lah-dahs-too-ree) and is pioneering it. Every year she is increasing production. The wine is not de-stemmed and is direct pressed and the free run juice is then fermented with wild yeast in stainless steel tanks. Its new, youthful and rooted in history just like it's winemaker.

Refreshing and balanced, with mandarin orange, classic lychee character and a long finish. Rich density of flavor. Enjoy with pork tenderloin and five-spice rub, heavier meats (this will hold up to red meat), coq au vin, alfredo sauce, curry, and German foods.

A nose of passion fruit and orange blossom opens to a wine graced with aromas of juicy yellow plum and lemon peel. Dried apricot finish. Savor the bouquet by swirling and smelling before tasting. Sip this semi-sweet wine chilled, with lemon-roasted chicken or artichokes French, or with appetizers such as hummus and pita, or with fresh vegetables and dip.

Lemberger is an Austrian grape grown selectively in the Finger Lakes. This wine has an earthy nose with wonderful smooth black cherry and pomegranate tones. Fuller than a Pinot Noir, try our lemberger with pork loin, burgers, and steaks.

A crisp and pleasantly aromatic white wine. Gentle acidity with notes of tropical fruits.

Our Rkatisteli label honors Lela, one of Georgia's legendary woman warriors. In 1659, Lela, the daughter of a famous warrior, stepped forward to join the effort to liberate Georgia from foreign warlords, but was refused because she was a woman. One warrior, Kviria, knew that the effort could not succeed without Lela's help, and devised a plan to strike by stealth. Lela perished in the fray, but not before opening the gates and leading the way for a Georgian victory.

Deep violet colored with aromas fresh red and black fruit. Flavors of blackberry, cranberry and cherry are followed by spice notes and a hint of oak, finishing with balanced but firm tannin. Great with food. Pair with lamb, steaks or beef braises.

Our Saperavi Reserve label honors Prince Temo who was part
of Georgia’s 300. In 1795 the capital of Georgia was sacked
by an invading Persian army. 300 Georgian mountain soldiers
pledged to fight to the death to allow the last King of Georgia
and Prince Temo to escape. Temo after his escape became a
historian and immortalized the sacrifice of the 300 in history,
which eventually led to their canonization as saints.

A young juicy style of Saperavi full of life and fruit. Deep red colored with aromas and flavors of fresh red and black fruit and hints of spice. A nice underpinning of acidity followed by lighter and integrated tannins. Great by itself or with food. Pair with friends, burgers and pizza.

Our Saperavi label honors Maia who is Georgia’s cross
between Mulan and Robin Hood. Maia, fled from a corrupt
baron to the woods, where she dressed as a man, stole from
him and gave to the poor. When foreign invaders came she
joined the army where, thanks to her skill, she rose to a
leadership position and helped defend Georgia. At the end
she revealed her true identity to great amazement

Rosé is still rare in Georgia mostly because Saperavi, the dominant red variety, is a teinturier grape, meaning having both red skin and red flesh. The resulting juice is typically very dark, so to make this wine they take extra special care to use a bladder press at very low pressure to extract the free-run juice. The wine is then fermented and stabilized in stainless steel before bottling.

Lukasi is passionate about creating artisanal Saperavi. Their 2017 was their fifth vintage for commercial production. This wine is a new vision of Saperavi, which attempts to marry the flavors of saperavi with French oak, where the wine is aged for 12 months.

The wine is made of 100% (Muscat Lunel, for which the grape was harvested from the Szentvér vineyard in the middle of September 2015. The nice sunny weather and the optimal harvesting conditions helped us to make this light, but still very characteristic Muscat Lunel wine with all attributes to the Tokaj wine region. To achieve our main goal to keep all fragrances, fruity aromas and the generic character of the variety, both fermentation and ageing were conducted in anaerobe conditions. The final result is a light and charming wine with some fresh character.

2015 produced a fruity and well-balanced wines in the Tokaj wine region. Due to the unique soil structure and microclimate of the wine region, we managed to harvest fully ripen and healthy grapes at the end of September in the relatively warm year. Messzelátó vineyard, the plot where the grape comes from, is an isolated area surrounded by forest, where the vines are cultivated using natural methods and bio cultivation, without applying chemicals. It was made of 100% of Furmint variety, the majority of the juice was fermented in stainless steel, while the remaining part fermented and aged in barrels. It gives a pleasure to drink this wine, indeed, beside the beautiful pear, quince and citrus fruitiness, it also bears some minerality , which is quite characteristic to Tokaji Furmint wines.

Holdvölgy produces two lines of Furmint based wines. The first is the "Hold and Hollo" line which is a blend of the three of the allowable white grapes grown in Tokaj: 65% Furmint, 30% Hárslevelu and 5% Muscat Lunel. This wine is perfectly balanced and interesting and more approachable. It was just given 90 Points by Wine Enthusiast.

Béres was one of the few people to produce a 2014 estate Furmint from Tokaj for 2014. During Harvest heavy rains hit the region wreaking havoc on quality. Out of shear luck Béres's grapes were ready to harvest one week before the rains. The product is a spectacular fresh and inviting Furmint.

Made from 100% Rkatsiteli grapes from estate grown vineyards in the Kartli region. The Chateau Mukhrani Rkatsiteli represents a Rkatstieli wine sourced from the Kartli region in central Georgia as opposed to Kakheti. It offers a distinctly European take on the varietal off a crisp fresh version with citrus, melon and prominent minerality.

Goruli Mtsvane (pronounced Go-roo-lee Mah-ts-vah-nay) is Georgia’s endemic and unique white varietal from the Kartli region. It is distinct from the Kakhuri Mtsvane varietal which is cultivated in Kakheti region. Goruli Mtsvane has been cultivated for centuries and is known for is mineral characteristics, refreshing and crisp European style whites wines.

Bagrationi 1882 Reserve Brut is produced in the Traditional Method, also known as Méthode Champenoise. The grapes are handpicked, hand sorted and whole cluster pressed. A mixture of sugar and yeast, known as liqueur de tirage, is added to the blended wine which is then divided into individual bottles. The bottles are then sealed and a second alcohol fermentation takes place in the bottle. The fermentation process, which generates carbon dioxide, dissolves into the wine under pressure and creates the all important bubbles. The bottles are stored neck down and turned slightly every day to collect the yeast. This process is called “riddling.” The plug of yeast is then removed through disgorging without allowing the sparkling wine to escape. The Bagrationi 1882 Reserve Brut requires a minimum of one year to create a very delicate and complex sparkling wine.

Bagrationi 1882 Classic Extra Dry is produced in the Charmat Method. The grapes are handpicked, hand sorted and whole cluster pressed. The juice of the grape is then fermented at a very low temperature with selected yeast strains to preserve the inherent fruit flavors. In this method, the second fermentation takes place in pressure vessels. This process guarantees great uniformity in the nuances of flavor and delivers a crisper, cleaner sparkling wine.

The juice of the grape is then fermented at a very low temperature with selected yeast strains to preserve the inherent fruit flavors. The name Pirosmani denotes a a fruit forward style of making Saperavi, which is named after the famous Georgian Painter Niko Pirosmanishvili. This red wine is also 100% Saperavi (pronounced saw-pear-ah-vee) grapes. If you love California blends or Malbecs you should give this wine a try.

100% Mtsvane (pronounced Ma-ts-vah-nay) fermented in steel. This a a spectacular modern style Mtsvane that show the pure varietal characteristics. Mtsvane means "green" in Georgian and it is known for its aromatic qualities.

100% Saperavi (pronounced saw-pear-ah-vee) grapes. This wine is a great introduction to the Saperavi varietal. A young juvenescent version of Saperavi that shows all of the best characteristics of Saperavi at a great price.

Kindzmarauli (Kinz-mah-rah-oo-lee) is one of the most well-known Georgian wines given its popularity in the Soviet period. Many American wine-drinkers are put off by the word "sweet" but this authentic naturally semi-sweet wine has been making American converts for the last decade. Kindzmarauli is sweet but not too sweet because it is made from a tannic and complex grape varietal, Saperavi. The characteristics of the Saperavi grape lend balance to the sugar resulting in a well structured wine great for pairings.

This wine is made from Tsolikouri (tso-lee-ko-oo-ree) grapes, harvested in western Georgian vineyards in village Orbeli – mountainous Lechkhumi district. It is fermented in stainless steel. The combination of the regions elevation, yet more humid climate and stable sunshine hours, creates a wine characterized by high, balanced acidity and a light body, with a light hay color and radiance. Primary aromas include a complex mix of citrus (yellow lemon) and grapefruit. Crisp and clean this wine a is a lesson in refreshing and mineral driven whites from Georgia.
