About Wine
The wine is made of 100% (Muscat Lunel, for which the grape was harvested from the Szentvér vineyard in the middle of September 2015. The nice sunny weather and the optimal harvesting conditions helped us to make this light, but still very characteristic Muscat Lunel wine with all attributes to the Tokaj wine region. To achieve our main goal to keep all fragrances, fruity aromas and the generic character of the variety, both fermentation and ageing were conducted in anaerobe conditions. The final result is a light and charming wine with some fresh character.

About Wine
2015 produced fruity and well-balanced wines in the Tokaj wine region. Due to the unique soil structure and microclimate of the wine region, we managed to harvest fully ripen and healthy grapes at the end of September in the relatively warm year. Messzelátó vineyard, the plot where the grape comes from, is an isolated area surrounded by forest, where the vines are cultivated using natural methods and bio cultivation, without applying chemicals. It was made of 100% of Furmint variety, the majority of the juice was fermented in stainless steel, while the remaining part fermented and aged in barrels. It gives a pleasure to drink this wine, indeed, beside the beautiful pear, quince and citrus fruitiness, it also bears some minerality , which is quite characteristic to Tokaji Furmint wines.

Koba has a background in modern winemaking, but he is a die hard fanatic for traditional natural Georgian qvevri wine; a tradition that he learned from his grandfather and now passes on to his sons and grandsons. Naotari is the culmination of a life dream to cultivate is own family vineyard and have enough to bottle and share with the world. Khvanchkara 2015 Teliani Valley Georgia Khvanchkara - Racha

About Wine
Khvanchkara wine was one of the most popular wines in the Soviet Union, thus great legends and misconceptions swirl around this fantastic style of wine. True Khvanchkara wine must be a blend of two indigenous Georgian red varietals, Mujuretuli and Alexandreuli sourced only from the AOC of Khvanchkara located in the Racha district high-up in the Caucasus mountains. The amazing naturally semi-sweet style of wine from this tiny remote viticulture district has very limited production an historically sold at a premium price. With the fall of the Soviet union, producers in other post soviet country's took advantage of relaxed regulation to bottle any old semi-sweet under the name "khvanchkara." Since then the Georgian government has worked to reclaim the brand by registering it in Europe. Teliani Valley prides itself on producing authentic Georgian wines. They buy grapes directly from growers in khvanchkara and processes their wine there. Beware of any Khvanchkara on the market where you don't find the grape varietals listed and doesn't explicitly say that it was sourced from the Racha region.

About Wine
Kindzmarauli (Kinz-mah-rah-oo-lee) is one of the most well-known Georgian wines given its popularity in the Soviet period. Many American wine-drinkers are put off by the word "sweet" but this authentic naturally semi-sweet wine has been making American converts for the last decade. Kindzmarauli is sweet but not too sweet because it is made from a tannic and complex grape varietal, Saperavi. The characteristics of the Saperavi grape lend balance to the sugar resulting in a well structured wine great for pairings.
