About Wine
Kindzmarauli (Kinz-mah-rah-oo-lee) is one of the most well-known Georgian wines given its popularity in the Soviet period. Many American wine-drinkers are put off by the word "sweet" but this authentic naturally semi-sweet wine has been making American converts for the last decade. Kindzmarauli is sweet but not too sweet because it is made from a tannic and complex grape varietal, Saperavi. The characteristics of the Saperavi grape lend balance to the sugar resulting in a well structured wine great for pairings.

This is a juicy wine with structure and finesse. Aromas of crushed rose petals, violets, plums and wild berries. The impression on the palate is one of firmly weighed fruit, a hint of sweetness, with a soft silky finish with a balance of tannin.
